CTCA began construction of Western in October 2007. The decision to build a new facility in Arizona originated from thier patients' requests to build CTCA hospitals closer to their homes.
Since breaking ground, CTCA patients and their families have been actively involved in every step of the hospital design process. The goal has been to implement functional design elements that are most conducive to healing and wellness.
Cancer Treatment Centers of America State-of-the-Art cancer hospital, like the other CTCA cancer hospitals, houses some of the most advanced diagnostic and therapeutic resources in cancer treatment. Here, you can receive the latest conventional cancer treatments in combination with complementary medicine therapies—all under one roof.

This technology includes a linear accelerator that delivers radiotherapy doses at least 60 percent faster than conventional accelerators. As a patient at Western, you’ll also have one-touch access to education, communication and entertainment options with Skylight's ACCESSTM Interactive Patient System.
